Vera Roofing was recommended to me by a friend. Davey was more than helpful working with both me and my insurance to nail down the final costs to repair my roof, fence, and drywall/paint. Vera did the roof and subcontracted the fence replacement of ~ 160 feet and inside painting. The roof only took about a day and I really didn’t need to be here. The fence had a couple minor issues but those issues were addressed. The painters had to come back out a few times but those issues were also resolved. Overall, Davey was very professional and provided quality craftsmanship needed to get the job done right. I would recommend using Vera Roofing and Construction from the very beginning when it’s time to call the insurance for hail or wind damage. ~ Backyard H

I'm a Realtor here in Fort Worth and met Joey Torrez of Vera Roofing & Construction at one of my Listings while he was giving a Buyer an estimate of potential repair cost. The way he communicated and carried himself with these Buyers made me want to do business with him. I had been looking for someone to put French Doors on my formal dining room in my home. I had Joey come out and give me an estimate that was very fair. He went above and beyond throughout the short project by showing up everyday to ensure the job was being completed on time and to make sure I was happy with everything. Joey made sure to meet with me when my schedule fit and always was in contact with me letting me know how things were progressing. I had to have my roof replaced due to a hailstorm. I was particular as to who I was going to have working on my home so I spoke with 3 other companies before I called Vera Construction, after speaking with Joey for 5 minutes I was sold. Joey was very knowledgeable but could also simply the process of what all needed to be done. Joey walked me and my wife thru the process of picking roof color,gutter colors and painting some areas that needed it. After completion my wife and I were totally amazed with their service. I was looking to have my roof replaced and ended up getting a total home upgrade and keeping it within our total budget. Can’t say enough how much this company impressed me. I had to wait a year to post this review because I wanted to make sure that the new roof they installed had no issue, and it hasn’t so far. I had 5 estimates before choosing Vera. They were the lowest price of the 5 estimates and gave incredible work and attention to detail. If I could give them 6 stars I would. I have told all my family and friends to use them. As a matter of fact I have decided to use them to do some other work inside my house. Joey was the best employee that I have dealt so far. Very professional and responsible on supervising the work throughout the whole process. He gained all the points when there was a small issue and the way he handled the situation. Vera Construction replaced my roof, gutters, and stained our fence in January 2019. They were cost competitive and did a pristine job. But what sets them apart for me is their professionalism in handling the claim with my insurance company. My insurance company was an absolute nightmare (lost the claim, missfiled another houses estimate on my claim, would forget previously approved supplementals, not respond to emails or phone calls....). This went on for 6 months after the replacement. Vera went to bat for me and spent countless hours working to get the correct amount back from the insurance provider. Gabriel contacted me immediately, performed detailed inspection and sent all pictures of our roof needing attention. We gave 5 stars because Manuel Vera has done the most thorough roofing job we have ever had on our home and we have been here 40+ years. We brought concerns to the table about some things we knew had never been fixed and he told us of other things that desperately needed addressing. Bottom line is Manuel Vera wanted to make sure our roof was 100% sound. Like I said, we have never had a roofer so thorough. Therefore, we got a new roof without any shortcuts. That's a really good feeling. We want to say thanks to the whole team. They and the supplies arrived on time and all in order. The workers set about their business and didn't stop until the cleanup crew had walked around our home several times to get every shred of debris. It was a hard 10 hour day for them but the finished roof looks wonderful. Thank you all so very, very much. ~ Phyllis F

Vera construction was the most professional and helpful company I have ever worked with! Joey is so helpful and knowledgeable. They came in and did a core sample and gave us all the options. It does not matter if you want a repair done, a patch completed or a whole new roof, no job was to big or to small and I loved that they wanted to help regardless of how much we wanted to spend! We ended up with a beautiful new roof for our office and it even helped reduce our electricity bill! They take pictures throughout the whole project so you can see what is being done at all times! I met with several roofing companies and I decided to hire "Vera Roofing & Construction" because the person I met with discussed what I needed & expected, measured, immediately provided a bid for replacing my roof with class 4 impact resistant shingles, and explained everything. He was very professional & thorough. During the whole roofing project he was the only contact I had or needed. The roofing crew showed up as promised. They put yard coverings around the house to catch debris, removed the old shingles, installed the new shingles, and thoroughly cleaned up before leaving on the 1st day. The next day the screen crew came to replace the old damaged screens with new screens. The next day the gutter crew came to replace the old damaged gutters & downspouts with new gutters & downspouts, which completed the project. We are very happy with the results and glad that this was the company we chose to repair the storm damage to our house. ~ Tom F

Vera Construction replaced the roof on my house, shed and gazebo. They were awesome!! Joey Torrez took care of handling all the insurance issues from start to finish. He was great in communicating with us and scheduling. They had everything done on the 3 roofs with in 2 days. My husband was so amazed! They covered all the landscaping and bushes to keep the debris out. They showed up on time, when they said they would, no delays. They made sure that everything was cleaned up and removed when the finished. The overall time from bid to completion was so quick. We have beautiful roofs again. Used Vera Roofing to do insurance replacement of roof after recent hailstorm. Worked with Jose Alonso in Waxahachie. Jose was very responsive from the start, explaining their product, what the options were on shingles, underlayment, vents, and other features and stopped by at our request several times to provide samples of the products. Vera was one of three roofing companies that we considered and researched in terms of the company and the products available. We settled on Vera because of the quality of the products they offered, their fair pricing, but mostly because of the responsiveness of Jose to all our questions. On the day of the installation, they arrived early and finished the entire project except for the gutter replacement in one day and I was able to do a walk through of the roof with Jose at the end of the day and he took care of everything I pointed out. The work was good quality. The roof looks great and we are very satisfied. ~ Norman P

2023 Update- due to hail damage we needed a new roof, gutters and window screens. Jose Alonso and his crew have been great to work with. Jose is very helpful in navigating the insurance procedures, explaining and advocating for us. There were issues with our old roof that caused unavoidable delays and extended the work into the weekend. Jose worked with the insurance company to get the additional expenses added to the coverage. The crew was professional, working through horrific heat and delays. Every single person exceeded my expectation. I highly recommend Vera Roofing, Jose Alonso, and the entire roofing crew. We will continue to call Vera Roofing for all of our roofing needs. 2022 Jose and the roof crew were great. The repair was done in a timely manner, every member of the team was careful to gather all information needed to finish the job. Joey was great to work with, he always wanted to touch base and make sue we knew what was going on and that we were happy with the results. They worked on my parents roof and came highly recommend, which means a lot if you knew what perfectionist my parents are. They not only replaced our roof but we got new gutters and changed the look of our house by removing old wood and replacing it with something completely different. Then with new paint colors they repainted everything including my front door and garage door. I'm so happy with how it turned out. ~ Michelle W

Jose was wonderful to work with to get gutters installed on our new build home. We wanted to install the back of the house right away and delay the front and he was super accommodating. The crew made sure it would be easy to finish the job when the time came without having to undo work. They even made a trip back out just to adjust a downspout for us after we had a patio poured. Several years ago after a huge hail storm here in Waxahachie, Vera replaced our roof. They were extremely nice, truthful, punctual and easy to get in touch with. They even delt with the insurance company so that we could avoid that headache. "Joey" walked us through the whole process and answered every question we had. They did an awesome job on our roof...it's beautiful! This morning I noticed one shingle hanging a little. I called the office and spoke to a real person, not an answering machine and was told that Joey would contact me. Joey called within 15 minutes of my initial call and had all the information about my roof from years ago. Now that's great record keeping! Someone will be out first thing in the morning to fix it. After a major Plano TX hail storm in March 2016, I contacted Vera Construction to provide a damage assessment and repair estimate for my property. They quickly arrived, completed the task and promised to work with my Insurance agent to complete the needed repairs. To my despair, the initial Insurance offer was quite short of the actual repair costs needed due to disputed damage claims, insurance deductibles, and policy damage exclusions. Vera Construction prepared photographic evidence and material cost documentation, as well as surrounding area estimates information to justify a higher assessment. After three meeting with the insurance adjuster he got the damage evaluation increased 30%. This allowed me to restore the property at an affordable cost. The repairs were made quickly, with high quality materials, and to my complete satisfaction. Met with Joey about a new roof. He was completely knowledgeable about insurance claims and worked with us getting it done asap. We had a new roof within a week. They also painted all woodwork, doors and porch ceilings and they look fantastic! The roof looks amazing and it looks like a different/new house. Clean up was great, we have found no nails in the yard. They have this huge magnet on wheels they push over the yard to pick them all up. The workers were polite and got the job done. Joey came out to inspect our roof quickly after calling him and gave us a thorough explanation of what we needed and several options to choose from. They did an excellent job on the roof and painting of our church. Vera Construction did an outstanding job replacing our roof. Joey Vera pointed out additional damage that we were not aware of and got it taken care of.
